Position Summary
Saica Pack US is seeking dependable and safety-focused Finished Goods Line Takeoff / Forklift Operators to support our corrugated packaging manufacturing operation in Hamilton, Ohio.
This position is responsible for safely removing finished product from the production line, inspecting loads for quality and accuracy, preparing finished goods for movement or shipment, and operating a forklift to transport materials throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in quality and safety, and works effectively as part of a production team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move finished goods, pallets, materials, and other products throughout the production and warehouse areas.
- Remove completed units from the finished goods line while maintaining proper production flow.
- Verify finished loads for correct product, quantity, labeling, stacking, and overall condition.
- Transport completed loads to designated staging, storage, or shipping locations.
- Ensure finished goods are properly identified and organized for inventory and shipment.
- Inspect pallets and finished products for visible damage, quality concerns, or unsafe conditions.
- Communicate product or quality issues promptly to the Supervisor, Quality team, or appropriate production personnel.
- Supply or remove pallets and other materials necessary to maintain continuous line operation.
- Maintain awareness of production schedules and priorities to ensure finished goods are moved efficiently.
- Follow established traffic patterns, pedestrian safety requirements, and forklift operating procedures.
- Complete required production, inventory, scanning, or material movement documentation accurately.
- Assist with housekeeping and maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with Saica standards.
- Support production employees and other departments as needed to maintain efficient plant operations.
- Participate in shift handoffs and communicate relevant production, equipment, quality, or safety information.
- Follow all Saica safety policies, procedures, work instructions, and plant rules.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, product damage, near misses, and workplace incidents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on production and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, or production experience preferrable in Corrugated manufacturing.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment after completing Saica-required training and certification.
- Experience in corrugated packaging, paper, converting, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments is a plus.
- Ability to understand production labels, work instructions, safety requirements, and basic production documentation.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong attendance, dependability, and punctuality are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, production employees, shipping personnel, and other departments.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires regular physical activity in a manufacturing environment. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Getting on and off a forklift repeatedly during the shift.
- Using hands and arms to handle materials and operate equipment.
- Lifting and/or moving materials as required by the position.
- Working around moving machinery, forklifts, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
- Working in a manufacturing environment where noise levels and temperatures may vary.
- Safety Expectations

- Follow all plant safety rules and established operating procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, safety footwear, hearing protection, and other PPE required for the work area.
- Follow pedestrian and powered industrial truck traffic rules.
- Follow all emergency evacuation, severe weather, shelter, and emergency response procedures.
- Never bypass machine guards, safety devices, or established safety procedures.
- Stop and report work that presents an immediate safety concern.
- Employees in this position play an important role in ensuring that Saica customers receive finished products that meet quality and delivery expectations. The operator is expected to maintain:
- Safety: Work safely and actively identify potential hazards.
- Quality: Verify finished products and report defects or damage before material is moved or shipped.
- Productivity: Maintain efficient product flow and minimize unnecessary production delays.
- Accuracy: Ensure products are moved to the correct locations and properly identified.
- Teamwork: Communicate effectively and support production, shipping, quality, and other team members.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work Schedule
Positions are available on 1st and 3rd shift. Employees must be able to work their assigned schedule and may be required to work overtime based on production and business needs. Shifts are set at 4, 10-hour shifts, plus applicable OT based on production needs.
Reliable and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Minimum requirements
- Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, preferably in the corrugated board packaging field.
- Basic computer skills.
- Professional approach, demonstrating flexibility and ownership.
